Simple Struggles

Now and forever
a promise i made
to fight the temptations and urges
to be faithful
and be  with you and only you

I gave my heart to you
After i stole yours
The fires of passion swallowed us whole
true love our only goal
we fight with the light
against the eternal darkness

Once i heard
the brighter the light
the darker the shadow
i never knew how true that was
but only time will tell

if we remain shining or become swallowed up by the darkness
